The broad aim of our research is to develop the foundations for the successful realization and implementation of novel lightweight structures concepts and architectures. We are particularly interested in problems related to packaging, deployment, shape control and stability. Through a combination of experiments, analysis and numerical simulations we seek to understand, explain and model the physical behavior of novel structures.
