Ozair Rajani

Graduate Student

orajani@caltech.edu

Ozair joined the Space Structures Lab in 2021. He received his B.A.Sc. in Materials Engineering at the University of British Columbia in 2019. At UBC, in conjunction with the Composites Research Network, he performed thermomechanical simulations of the curing behavior of carbon-fiber composite structures. His previous research experience also includes pyrometallurgical refining of silicon for solar cells and the failure analysis and corrosion of MEMS metallic thin films and organic coatings for aerospace applications.

Prior to joining Caltech, Ozair worked at ZEISS X-Ray Microscopy where he employed artificial intelligence technology to improve the image processing of X-Ray CT scans of various materials including thin films and composite structures.
