Sahangi Dassanayake

Graduate Student

sahangi.d@caltech.edu

Sahangi joined the Space Structures Lab in 2020, after receiving her M.S. in Space Engineering from Caltech in 2020. She received her M.S. in Structural Engineering in 2019 and B.S. (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 2018. During her time working as a graduate research assistant at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, she worked on the analysis and prediction of folding and deployment behavior of thin membrane structures and validation of modeling techniques through correlation of analytical models and laboratory experiments, under the Indo-Sri Lanka Joint Research Programme in collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.
